The GIORDIS HEXAGON BOARD™ is a wooden hexagon pasta board that’s used for making different ridged or crosshatch pasta types. The hexagon board is a dedication to the Giordis brand hence its shape and pattern. It is handmade out of a high-quality Sapele Tree lumber for a fine finish. It is as beautiful as it is useful to quickly prepare multiple pasta variations.
Pasta variations (not limited to): Garganelli, Gnocchi, Cavatelli, Capunti, Malloreddus (Sardinian Gnocchi), Strascinati or Rigatoni.
Our boards are designed using 100% organic real hardwood and finished using Odie’s Oil, an American premium quality hardwax oil that is food safe, solvent free, non-toxic and safe for all including kids, pets, and the environment.

WOOD / The wood used to build this board comes from the West African Sapele Wood. We chose this lumber because it is famous for its appearance and hardness. Its colors vary from golden to dark reddish-brown or purplish-brown which gives it a very rich appearance. Its color darkens over time and is highly sustainable. One of the defining characteristics of Sapele is the interlocking grain patterns. It is a hard, medium-density wood that has great durability. Once finished using Odie’s Oil, it is completely water-resistant while retaining its pleasant aroma.
DESIGN / The ‘OFFICIAL Giordis’ design represents our brand identity and the pattern on this board originates our logo, the ‘G’ in our brand name Giordis. With so many pasta shape variations that we’ve designed here at Giordis, we need to design one that represents our work ethic and passion for life, similar to the honey bee hence why we choose the honeycomb shape for our design.
